3) Campaign Against Empty Homes
Councillor Dairmaid Ward gave talk on Islington Council’s actions in buying back RTB council homes + constraints on councils’ budgets/ability to do so other than for temporary accommodation. Request for him to produce a pamphlet spelling this out for use with/of other councils. He will send article he’s written on this to Morag for her to post on H4A website. Umbrella group now set up. Monday 14th June, 4th Anniversary of Grenfell fire – day of action #JusticeForGrenfell
On Monday 14th June, Homes for All is calling for supporters to remember the 72 lives lost and to stand in solidarity with the survivors and bereaved of the Grenfell fire. This must never happen again.
